Trees are beautiful and add to the value of your property. However, not all trees should remain on your property. There are a few solid reasons you should work to remove trees from your property.

Reason #1: Dead or Dying

If a tree is dead or dying, you will not want to leave it up to its own devices. As a tree starts to die, its roots weaken, and it becomes more vulnerable to falling down randomly. Don't wait for that to happen. You can't predict what direction the tree will fall in or what it will hit on its way down. If you suspect that you have dead or dying trees on your property, you will want to have a professional tree service remove them before they come down on your own. That is the safest way to deal with a dead or dying tree.

Reason #2: Lifting Up Concrete

Suppose you have a driveway, sidewalk, or concrete foundation that is being negatively impacted by tree roots. In that case, it may be time to consider removing the tree that is causing the damage. You can work with tree service and see if root pruning the tree and putting in a root barrier stops the interference. However, if that doesn't work, you will want to remove the tree so that it stops damaging your property.

Reason #3: Sewer Lines

Trees are great at seeking out water and finding the nutrients they need. However, if you have sewer lines or a septic system on your property, that can be an issue. If you have trees whose roots are invading your pipes, you may want to consider cutting down the offending trees. Sometimes, that is the only solution if you want to have a functioning wastewater system.

Reason #4: Overcrowded Landscape

There is such a thing as too much of a good thing when it comes to landscape. If you have too many trees, bushes, and shrubs all growing in close proximity to each other, they will not thrive as they compete for resources. If your landscape is overcrowded, you will want to work with a professional tree service to figure out what trees to remove so that the remaining trees will stay healthy and thrive.

Reason #5: Unattractive

Some trees don't look that nice. Maybe the tree grew at a strange angle, or the growth on the tree has been affected by various growing conditions over the years, resulting in strange growth. If you have a tree that you just don't like the looks of, it is okay to cut your losses and have the tree removed.

There are many reasons why you may want to have a tree removed. No matter the reason why you want the tree removed, you should work with a professional tree removal service. They will remove the trees you don't want on your property in a manner that keeps everyone and everything around the trees safe.
